Business forum 'Russia-Europe', 9-11th of November 2009, Moscow
23-09-2009"Moscow Entrepreneurs Association” jointly with the "Russian Agency for Small and Medium Business Support" and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation is organizing a Two Phase Festival to be held in Moscow on 9-11 November 2009 and consisting of:
- International Conference «Innovation & Investment: Efficient Basis for Competitiveness of Russian SMEs on Internal and International Markets»;
- Business opportunities / investment matchmaking Forum «Russia - Europe: SMEs - Cooperation without Frontiers».
The Conference will be focused on identifying and analysing SMEs problems as well as efficiency of the State support to the sector in terms of investment attraction, innovation development and entering foreign markets. It will also determine further support measures to develop and increase SMEs’ competitiveness on internal and international markets.
The Forum will be devoted to two-day bilateral negotiations between Russian industrial SMEs in different sectors of activities (production, R&D, services) with business partnership proposals, including investment projects, and willing to identify potential business partners in Europe, and European SMEs which would have shown interest with regard to Russian business proposals and projects or which, in their return, are offering cooperation to Russian SMEs.
The aim of the Business Forum (www.atlasinvest.ru) is to help Russian and European SMEs in recognizing opportunities provided by Cross-Border Cooperation and to utilise them by starting or developing international business relationships. All those participating in this Business Forum share one thing in common, the desire to broaden their contact network and to find new partners for technical as well as commercial purposes. The forum provides a unique opportunity to find new business contacts.
During the Business Forum Russian and European SMEs will meet in order to discuss the possibility of doing business with each other in a series of B2B meetings. All participants will have the opportunity to find new business partners as well as to visit 7 industrial fairs in Moscow.

North-East RDA at the Forum dedicated to the Structural Funds, 2nd Edition, 7-8th of May 2009, Warsaw
13-05-2009During 7-8th of May 2009, North-East Regional Development Agency North-East has participated as a representative of the Romanian National Association of RDAs, at the Structural Funds Forum, 2nd edition, organized in Warsaw by the Ministry of Regional Development in Poland.
The event included conferences, seminars, cultural activities, and an exhibition of all the management authorities for regional operational programs, which had reflected by materials the 5 years experience of Poland as an EU member state. As international exhibitors were invited countries from ‘Visegrad Group’ (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary) and Bulgaria. Romania’s stand presented beside the North-East Region and the South-East Region, the South-West Oltenia Region and the North-West Region, highlighting tourist and investment potential of them.
Encouraging prospects for tourism development in North-East Region
16-10-2008The fifth edition of the Regional Investments Forum organized by the Regional Development Agency North-East took place on 10th of October 2008 at Suceava and gathered at Bucovina Economic Center of Salcea over 140 participants.
The conference entitled The Regional Tourism between the present and future was opened by Mr. Constantin Apostol, General Director of North-East RDA and Mr. Gheorghe Flutur, President of the North-East Regional Development Board, brought together specialists in strategy planning for tourism development, financers, international partners interested in the project collaborations in this area, but also economic operators which through their achievements in this field can serve as models of good practice.
If the first part of the conference was dedicated to presenting the Master plan for national tourism development, the Plan Regional for Action in Tourism, but also to funding opportunities available through Regional Operational Program, National Program of Rural Development or private financers, the second part was dedicated to a pragmatic experience exchange among partners of North-East RDA - Regions of Umbria and Abruzzo - Italy on the one hand and tourism operators in the North-East Region on the other.
Present at the conference, Mr. Dragos Anastasiu - President of the National Association of Travel Agencies (ANAT) of Romania said: "I appreciate the efforts of regional partners to develop an action plan dedicated to tourism and I saw in the presentation of North-East RDA many interesting things. As a businessman I came to this event in the hope that the information received will help me to identify an idea of development ... Often those who operate in the tourism industry don’t have the training necessary to process information related to the financing opportunities; from this point of view I consider that practical examples are welcome, especially those who help small investors to take all necessary data and to pass to facts."
"We are always concerned about the fructification of area’s tourist potential and at the same time aware that promoting actions on internal and international market are of extreme importance in increasing visibility of North-East Region’s tourist destinations. So, the series of these events will continue for tourism to become really in the business card of the North-East Region" - said Mr. Constantin Apostol – General Director of North-East RDA.

The fourth edition of Regional Investment Forum North-East Romania
17-10-2007During 1-2 November, 2007 the North-East Regional Development Agency, in partnership with the Regional Environment Protection Agency Bacau, Bacau Municipality, Bacau County Council and Prefecture of Bacau, is organising the fourth edition of the Regional Investment Forum North-East Romania.
This year the manifestation will be lodged by Bacau City, recognised for its economical dynamics and the high level of entrepreneurial potential, and will consist of two distinct events:
- The Conference „Sustainable regional development in the context of innovation”
- Match-Making event
The Conference will take place during 1-2 November 2007 at the Conference Hall of SC „Agricola International” SA Bacau (Calea Moldovei nr.94) and will include topics of interest for business environment and local public authorities from the North-East Region regarding the implementation and the capacity of Structural Funds absorption and the promotion of investment opportunities in North-East Region. Also there are to be proposed solutions for sustainable regional development and elimination of the existing disparities between European regions. In this respect please find the agenda attached.
On November the 2nd, 2007, starting with 12.00 o’clock, there will take place at HIT Park Hemeius the Match-Making event that will include 4 simultaneous sections dedicated to:
- The Managing Authorities and/or Intermediate Bodies for Romanian Operational Programmes 2007-2013 and of other funds available for North-East Region
- Commercial banks with representatives in North-East Region
- Construction companies
- Business support and consultancy organizations
